It isn’t often you see a Lonsdale size in Cuba’s Regional Edition program, or in the entire Habanos portfolio for that matter, but the new Punch 8-9-8 made exclusively for the Asia Pacific region is precisely that: a long, slender cigar that measures 6 3/4 inches by 43 ring gauge.
Known as a dalia in Cuban cigar factories, the Punch 8-9-8 shares its dimensions with other Lonsdales such as the Cohiba Siglo V and the Partagás 8-9-8.
Traditional 8-9-8 cigars are so named for the way they’re packaged. Rather than two layers of cigars per box of 25, they are arranged in three layers: eight cigars on the bottom, nine in the middle and eight on top. The Punch 8-9-8 cigars, however, do not adhere to this format and are simply presented in a 10-count box.

Hand rolled from tobacco leaves grown in the famous Pinar Del Rio fields, the new Bolivar cigar has a girth of 49mm and length of 194mm.
The new Habanos are part of a unique issue of 3,000 numbered boxes of 25 sticks. Each cigar comes with a distinctive limited double band stating “˜Exclusivo Medio Oriente’.

About this Cigar: First release of the Edmundo Dantes brand exclusively for the Mexican market. Edmundo Dantes Conde 109 comes in 109 format (7 1/4 x 50) and only 600 boxes of 25 cigars were released in 2007.
Because Montecristo is a “global” brand it cannot be used for an Edición Regional. As such, the Edmundo Dantes brand was used for this release. The Edmundo Dantes are distributed by Importadora y Exportadora de Puros y Tabacos, which is the official Habanos importer for Mexico.

Bolívar Especiales No.2, a long panetela vitola measuring 7 9/16 inches (193mm) with a slender 38 ring gauge, a size known as the Laguito No.1 which may be best known as the Cohiba Lancero.
The wrapper is a marbled chocolate brown. The aroma from the wrapper is barnyard, caramel and chocolate with a hint of earth. Bolivar Especiales No. 2 has mild wood taste, notes of coffee and earth. It has a perfect draw and it is very popular with cigar aficionados.
