Ana Lopez had spent around 40 years working in the Cuban cigar industry. She was overseeing the celebration by Habanos for the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Cuba by Christopher Columbus in 1992, and the cigars launched with that event, the Habanos 1492 Humidor and the Cohiba Siglo series cigars.
