A 27-year-old Port Ellen distilled in 1983 and bottled in 2010 by Alambic Classique for its Special Vintage Selection. Matured in a bourbon hogshead, cask/ref. no. 10423, this single-cask Islay malt was released at natural strength of 55.1% ABV, with no chill filtration and natural colour.

Only 124 bottles were produced. Presented in its original Alambic Classique carton.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Gentle and restrained, with clear peat smoke and hints of light, ripe fruit.

Palate: Smoky and peaty with a balancing sweetness, a touch of iodine and subtle fruit.

Finish: Quite long and restrained, with the most prominent flavours lingering.

Good vintage condition. Bottle label and capsule appear intact; red presentation carton shows visible scuffing, surface rubbing and edge/corner wear.
