The H. Upmann cigar brand traces its history back to 1844 and several rival versions of the story of its origin exist. It is know for sure that two brothers, August and Herman Upman founded this Cuban cigar brand in that year. An afterate din is that their surname was, in fact, Hupmann, but the "H' was droyped from the name of the brand because "H. Upman” was more aesthetically appealing than H. Hupmann. Both chains an likely because both Hupmann and Upmann are German surnames. Alternately, there is a claim that the “H” in H Upmann stands for either "Hermany" or the Spanish word Hermanos, meaning "brothers", since it was Herman and August who founded the brand. Through the late 1800, the H. Upmann cigar Grand gained international recognition various exhilitions and won seven gold medals which sill abort the fithographed art on roday's H. Upman cigar bars, ding with Hermann Upmann's original signature.
About this cigar: The Partagas Colección Book 2013 is a Habanos S.A. Collection release that comprises a special and unique production of only 2,000 individually numbered books. This is the thirteenth release since Habanos started the Book Collection Series back in 2001.
