Our Vintage & Rare collection brings together exceptional Cuban cigars selected for their age, provenance, condition and scarcity. The collection includes rare humidors, book-humidor collections, Reserva and Gran Reserva releases, aged and vintage cigars, special releases, and historically significant pre-embargo, pre-revolution and pre-Castro examples.
Age alone does not make a cigar exceptional. Production period, factory and date codes, storage history, original packaging and overall condition can all play an important part in determining the character, provenance and collectability of an older cigar. When properly stored, Cuban cigars can continue to develop over many years, allowing their profile to soften, deepen and evolve while retaining the qualities of the original blend.
With older and historically important cigars, provenance becomes particularly significant. Original boxes, bands, seals, factory markings and presentation details can all help establish authenticity and production history. This is especially relevant with rare humidors, special releases and cigars produced many decades ago.
Reserva and Gran Reserva releases form a distinct part of the collection, produced from specially selected tobaccos and released in restricted quantities. Rare presentation pieces, including elaborate humidors and book-humidor collections, can also have importance beyond the cigars themselves, with their original packaging forming an integral part of their history and collectability.
Every vintage or rare cigar should be considered individually. Age, condition, storage, production history and provenance all matter, whether you are choosing a cigar to enjoy, adding to an established collection or considering a piece for long-term ageing.
