About this Cigar: Like other great Havana brands such as Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, Sancho Panza takes it name from a masterpiece of world literature. In Don Quixote, the famous 17th Century Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes, it was Sancho Panza who served the errant knight as his faithful squire. His name was first used for a Havana in 1848 and since then it has enjoyed a reputation for quality amongst discerning smokers. Don Quixote was, of course, famous for tilting at windmills.
The range today comprises of four cigars including the Molino or mill, which is a Cervantes size.

Originally introduced in 2004, the vitola was available for the next eight years before taking an early retirement. However, this relatively brief appearance proved ample time to leave a lasting impression on those cigar enthusiasts who had discovered this remarkable cigar.
Some twenty years later In 2024, in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Trinidad brand, Habanos S.A. reintroduced the vitola, offering devotees the opportunity to enjoy it once again as part of a three-day Habanos World Days festival held in London.
This is a new addition to the brand’s standard portfolio in this “Trinidad Year”: Trinidad Robustos Extra (50 ring gauge x 155 mm length). It is a vitola that enhances the brands thick ring gauge portfolio and will be available in a new, elegant case in two presentations: a lacquered boxes of 12 Habanos and a gift box of 3 units, in which each Habano will be dressed with a permanent foot ring, and an additional 55th anniversary band for the commemorative production. This style of presentation moves the brand away for the first time from the traditional semi-boîte nature boxes for which the brand has become renowned.
